Travel to Kelowna; Adventure Awaits

Kelowna is a city experiencing a dynamic exponential increase in population and lies on the shores of Okanagan Lake. During summer, it is a water lover’s playground with several designated beaches and extensive beach access. As par my friend at Dixie Door , the city has pristine unique sandy beaches and enjoys sunshine almost all year round.

Lake Okanagan

This large lake stretches from Penticton to Nelson with plenty of beaches, parks to enjoy solo or take the family. The water is breathtaking. If you are qualified, rent a boat and drive on the lake see everything from another view, but take caution, though as the wind can pick up and give a different experience. Travel south to see the cliff divers near Rattle Snake Island, and beautiful beach in the cove which is a great spot for taking a swim and so much more. You’re sure to enjoy all the recreational activities this 82-mile long lake has to offer: boating, parasailing and all types of water sports. It is the perfect place for newlywed couples to have their honeymoon.

Bear Creek Provincial Park

This is a family oriented park campground is lovely, right on the lake, and surrounded by mountains. The site was level and spacious – Lots of trees and shade. A beautiful area to explore Kelowna and have a picnic, pick cherries or kayak lake. This is worth a hike so bring a dog to pull you up the hills. You will love both the lake views and the creek’s waterfalls across from the park.

Cedar Creek Estate Winery

It has breathtaking views and excellent growing slopes also making it a gorgeous wedding venue. Explore the vineyard trail, join in on an educational winery tour, or savor lunch at a seasonal Vineyard Terrace Restaurant.

Hydrofly Kelowna

This is a genuinely different experience that everyone should try at least once in a life. You’ll get to fly over the water giving you a terrific experience. It is an excellent place for the whole family to come out to enjoy such a unique flyboarding experience and have that memory together. Their team is comprised of very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and they are committed that you have a great time. Plus, they have a classy outfit with great equipment.

Oliver

This is a small town surrounded by orchards. The town came into existence after the historic First World War when the Canadian government compensated the soldiers who survived with the irrigated land. One of the attractive spots a visitor must visit is the town Oliver and District Heritage Society Museum, which has a rotating exhibit the old mining town of Fairview (1887 to 1906), exploring the natural history of the Canadian desert or pioneer days. The museum is an excellent spot for the family to begin their adventure in the region.

Summary

This is a great city with fun and exciting activities to do; you can spend a day strolling here. From museums, culture, nightlife to the park-lined lakefront feature, there is plenty for everyone.
